The Falcons played without wide receiver Julio Jones in their third straight loss last Sunday, but it looks like he is trending towards playing in Week 4….or so we thought.
On Thursday, a wild rumor went viral on Twitter of a claim that the New England Patriots were in serious conversations for a posible trade for WR Julio Jones.
NFL Insider Benjamin Allbright got wind of the tweet, checked with his sources, and found that rumor to be untrue.
Jones was on the practice field Thursday as the Falcons worked to prepare for Monday night’s game against the Packers. Jones did not practice at all last week due to a hamstring injury.
The seven-time Pro Bowler is Atlanta’s franchise leader in receiving yards (12,306), and he needs one catch to break a tie with Roddy White to become the Falcons all-time leader in receptions.
