Since the end of the New England Patriots season in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, there have been heavy rumors of Tom Brady possibly taking his talents to Las Vegas to play for the Raiders.
There hasn’t really been another choice besides Brady until a report surfaced from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network who stated the franchise could look into signing quarterback Philip Rivers in free agency.
Rapoport did note that the Colts are the most likely destination for Rivers, he also added that the Raiders could be a possibility if they are really looking for a veteran under center.
Rivers is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he threw for 4,615 yards, 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions while completing 66 percent of his passes.
The 38-year-old would be swapping out for a 28-year-old Carr if the team chooses to make this decision.
The Raiders went 7-9 this past season and have made just one playoff appearance since last making it to the Super Bowl 17 years ago.
