Philip Rivers could very well be joining the Indianapolis Colts.
Earlier this week, Fox NFL insider Jay Glazer appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and he revealed that the Los Angeles Chargers had officially closed the door on a potential reunion with Rivers.
24 hours later, a source told Dan Patrick that the Indianapolis Colts might be coming for Rivers in free agency.
“I have an update on where I think Philip Rivers is going to end up.
“I just heard from a source who’s listening to the program. … The answer is – the Indianapolis Colts,” he continued.
“I got a text, ‘Hearing Philip Rivers to Indy.’ My response was ‘whoa,’” Patrick said.
He continued:
“If I bring in Philip Rivers, two-year deal – and Jacoby Brissett has a two-year deal – is Philip Rivers that much of an upgrade over Jacoby Brissett?” he wondered.
“I guess the outward appearance would be yes.”

The Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are two other teams that have been linked to the veteran QB in recent months, for obvious reasons.
Rivers behind that offensive line in Indy could prove wonders for him in a AFC South Division that is wide open.
