The NFL and their refereeing crew are still getting blasted after the terrible game they called between the Lions and Packers.
The Green Bay Packers were able to defeat the Detroit Lions on Monday night to improve their record to 5-1 on the year, but it did not come without a slew of controversy.
The Lions, specifically Trey Flowers, found themselves being hit with two questionable penalties which led to 10 points for Green Bay in the fourth quarter. Flowers got hit for hands to the face twice, which gave the Packers a fresh set of downs and they were able to rally from nine points down to earn the victory.
It was agregious that Desmond Howard took to Twitter and asked for refs to be investigated and bank accounts to be checked.
He may have somewhat of a point because there is a strong rumor that somebody placed a $185K bet on Packers to beat the Lions on MNF.
To be even more specific, that same gambler is said to have placed large money bets in 3 games officiated by Clete Blakeman’s crew.

Again, this is a rumor, but wouldn’t be too shocking if that particular gambler has some sort of ties to officials.
