With Aaron Rodgers committing to playing again in 2024, the New York Jets figure to be one of the busiest teams this offseason.
You’ve heard of the rumors about the Jets potentially trading for Las Vegas Raiders superstar Davante Adams. Such a move would reunite the four-time MVP with the best wide receiver he’s ever had, but there’s no guarantee that Vegas will be keen on dealing its top offensive playmaker.
Even if the Jets don’t land Adams, the likes of Tee Higgins, Mike Evans, Gabe Davis, Michael Pittman Jr., Calvin Ridley and Marquise Brown are among the big names that could be available in free agency.
The bottom line is that the Jets must find for weapons to complement Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, and one prominent analyst believes the Jets will go big-game hunting this offseason:
ESPN’s Aaron Schatz made one big offseason prediction for all 18 non-playoff teams in 2023. For the Jets, he predicted that they’ll sign three-time Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr.:
“Big prediction for the offseason: What Rodgers wants, Rodgers gets. And he wants more playmakers. So the Jets will bring in receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency after his contract with the Ravens automatically voids.”
