The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be set in a lot of skill positions, except for running back, and there is no viable name out there in free agency which puts them in precarious position.
The Birds struck out on Le’Veon Bell and Tevin Coleman, and with them not wanting to swing and miss on their last strike, the team is hoping for a trade.
According to reports, the Eagles are heavily rumored to be in talks with the San Francisco 49ers over acquiring one of their numerous running backs.
The 49ers have a plethora of talent at RB, especially after the addition of Tevin Coleman in free agency. Coleman, Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida give them a trifecta of playmakers that the Eagles desperately want, especially with McKinnon or Breida via trade.
The 9ers went 4-12 last season, largely due to QB Jimmy G tearing his the ACL in his left knee during the 49ers’ Week 3 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
