Without a doubt, the biggest storyline in Dallas this offseason is the status of quarterback Dak Prescott for the second-straight year.
During an appearance on 105.3 FM The Fan’s “K & C Masterpiece” in 2020, NFL analyst Chris Simms said the Cowboys had offered Dak five years, $175 million, He did not take it at the time because he wanted a four-deal instead.
Fast forward to February 2021, and not much has changed with the deal, because former NFL player and sports radio host Dan Sileo of the Dan Sileo Show is saying the team is getting ready to offer the same deal.
“I’m being told the @cowboys will offer @dak 5 years $175 Million Dollars!”
After not agreeing to a long-term last year, Dak signed his $31.4 million exclusive franchise tender. The team has the option to tag him once again and pay him even more money for the 2021 season if the two sides can’t come to terms on a deal.
Before his season ending ankle surgery, Prescott had 1,856 passing yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions.
