The San Francisco 49ers desperately need an upgrade at the quarterback position. The team is in a division that has Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray, and now Matt Stafford after the Rams traded for him over the weekend.
The latest rumor has Kirk Cousins heading to the West Coast as the 49ers have reportedly given their best offer to the Minnesota Vikings.
- Jimmy G
- 2nd-round pick
- 4th-round pick
Cousins and head coach Kyle Shanahan are very familiar with each other, as they were together in Washington. Despite the Vikings finishing 7-9 and missing the playoffs, Cousins is coming off a season where he threw for 4,265 yards and had a career-high 35 touchdowns with 13 interceptions.
Jimmy Garoppolo played in just six games in 2020 due to injury, throwing for 1,096 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions.
It was just two seasons ago when he passed for 3,978 yards, 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, and went 13-3 as the starter as the 49ers went to the Super Bowl.
