Rudy Gobert was one of many people who were upset over hearing Kansas City Chiefs fans after they could be heard booing players as they had a “show of unity” between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans in the NFL opener on Thursday.
The Utah Jazz big man took to Twitter and threw shots at the booing fans:
Chiefs players were on the field for the playing of the national anthem and the rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Texans players were not on the field for either song.
“Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be played before each game during the first week of the season as part of the NFL’s efforts on social justice issues.
