The Dallas Cowboys have seen their running back depth further affected as one of their RBs has been suspended by the NFL.
According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, Ronald Jones has been hit with a two-game suspension that will keep him out of the first two regular-season fixtures in 2023/24. The ban comes about as a result of the player’s violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
The 25-year-old is looking to get on the roster as a backup option for Tony Pollard along with the likes of Malik Davis and Deuce Vaughn. The team could end up seeking veteran help and Ezekiel Elliot just might return following his release earlier this year.
Jones played his college football at USC and has played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. He made 17 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown for KC last season.
