Ron Rivera “Beyond Frustrated” Players Won’t Take Shot, Points To His Immune Deficiency After Having Cancer

Ron Rivera says he is ‘beyond frustrated’ that so many of his players on the Football Team still won’t go out and vaccinated. It’s not just because the team is at the bottom of the league in doing, so, but he pointed out him having cancer last year and how it left his body.

“I’m truly frustrated, I’m beyond frustrated. I’m immune deficient, and with this new variant, who knows.”

“I think the big thing really is to have individual conversations. I’m not going to tell anyone what to do. … I hope we can get to these guys, to help them understand it’s not just to them, but also the folks around them.”

Washington HC Ron Rivera told reporters that he's “beyond frustrated” that many players on the team are unvaccinated. Washington is near the bottom of the league at around 60%. Rivera says he’s immune deficient after his cancer last year and he hopes his players understand that.

Ron Rivera is "perplexed, truly frustrated, beyond frustrated" that so many of his players remain unvaccinated. He pointed out that his cancer treatment last year has left him immune deficient, requiring him to put masks on in almost all gatherings with players.

The Washington Football Team’s (WFT) training camp has actually partnered with health organizations to promote COVID-19 vaccinations and prevention strategies.
