Amid the uncertainty surrounding Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Green Bay Packers, rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs gave a shocking revelation about his relationship with the veteran QB.
During a recent interview on the Maggie & Perloff Show, Doubs admitted that he and Rodgers never hung out outside of the team facility. It did not matter that they were teammates for a full season, he and Rodgers never linked up at any time in a social setting.
“I didn’t get a chance to hang out with him,” said Doubs. “Not one time. I mean as far as being around 12… it’s always been football. In the building, in the practice field…”
It appears that Rodgers’ relationship with Doubs was simply on a co-worker basis and nothing else which is insane to think about since Rodgers praised the rookie WR in the preseason. During his rookie season, Doubs featured in 13 games for the Packers. He recorded 42 receptions on 67 targets, picking up 425 yards and three touchdowns.
That hangout may never happen as rumors suggest that the 39-year-old might be headed to another team this offseason. Aaron Rodgers has been linked with a move to the New York Jets and it only intensified amid the Jets’ hiring of Nathaniel Hackett to be their offensive coordinator.
The Jets have the roster in place to win now as they showed with a 7-4 record despite not having a stable QB behind center. Rodgers can change everything.
