The flirtation between the New York jets and Aaron Rodgers continues for another day.
Despite the pleas from Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones, who begged for quarterback Aaron Rodgers to return to the team, it appears as if the future hall-of-fame player will indeed head out to play for the Jets.
If he is not convinced yet, Robert Saleh’s brother, David, joined in to recruit him by directing a tweet to Rodgers to join the Jets.
“@AaronRodgers12…. There is nothing sweeter than hearing the fans chant J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! #NYJets #TakeFlight #AGNB #allgasnobrake”
Last week, Rodgers emerged from his darkness retreat but did not announce what he wanted to do with his career. He was either going to come back to the Packers, demand a trade, or retire. Since he is talking with the Jets, it means he is at least thinking about leaving the only team he has ever known.
Owner Woody Johnson, head coach Robert Saleh, General Manager Joe Douglas, and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett were members of the organization to meet with Rodgers earlier this week at his residence in California.

Despite the conversations, Rodgers could still very well retire from the league, and it would hurt the Jets more than the Packers since the team lost out on getting Derek Carr as they waited on a decision from Rodgers.
It’s now or never.
