The New York Jets are winning games in 2022 despite having a dud at QB with Zach Wilson.
The defense and the run game were unable to help him out on Sunday and he could not deliver a good performance on the field as the team fell to the Patriots.
On Sunday, the Patriots forced the former No. 2 overall pick beat them. Wilson tossed three interceptions.
In the postgame press conference, head coach Robert Saleh said, “he has to play better.”
“He always has to play better. As soon as you step on the field, you have to play better. He has to play better and we’ve got to find ways to help him,” Saleh explained.
Zach Wilson was selected with the second pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but has shown little to no improvement. The Jets have been 4-0 under Wilson prior to Sunday’s matchup against New England, but his subpar play has finally caught up to New York this week.
