Antisemitism has become a big topic of discussion as of late, following Kanye West’s hateful comments towards Jewish people that have resulted in tremendous backlash against the the famous rapper.
The recent controversy has caused many to speak out against antisemitism, and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is one of them.
Kraft and The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism released a 30-second ad during the second quarter of today’s Jets-Patriots game which speaks out against the antisemitism.
“Antisemitism is hate. Hate against Jews. For being Jewish. Recently many of you have spoken up. We hear you today. We must hear you tomorrow.
“There are less than 8 million Jewish people in this country. Fewer than are watching this game. They need you to add your voice. #StandUpToJewishHate”
It’s a shame that it has taken hateful comments from Kanye to bring attention to an issue that deserved our attention even earlier.
