The sports world was shocked when ESPN fired NFL analyst Robert Griffin lll and “Sunday Countdown” host Sam Ponder.
However, despite the horrible news, Griffin and his wife, Grete Griffin, have continued life as usual, even attending a fundraiser for The Harold & Carole Pump Foundation. Grete went to X to post a photo of the two at the event.
“Despite the last 48 hours being a total whirlwind of emotions, we weren’t gonna let anything get in the way of us helping The Harold & Carole Pump Foundation raise funds and create awareness for the treatment and cure of cancer Blessed to be a part!” read the caption.
Many online were impressed with Robert and Grete Griffins’ generosity despite their circumstances.
“Good things happen to good people. I really believe the next chapter is going to be even better. Robert has an incredible and loyal fan base ready to follow him wherever life takes him. Blessings to you both,” said one comment about the Griffins.

Despite Griffin’s career future being up in the air, the couple has kept strong spirits and has not let it affect them too much.

Griffin may have been fired from ESPN, but he has not slowed down when it comes to being an NFL analyst.
Even the same day he was fired, Griffin tweeted his opinions on the Atlanta Falcons acquiring pass rusher Matthew Judon.
With nearly three million followers across Instagram and X, he has a large audience that values his opinion and what he says.
