Former NFL quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with his recent comments on Lamar Jackson, including another ex-QB in Robert Griffin III.
Roethlisberger was speaking on his Footbahlin podcast this week when he made a criticism regarding Jackson that many found to be unfair, though there were some fans who opined the other way, stating that the former Pittsburgh Steelers star was simply being frank.
Jackson is one of the most talked-about NFL stars this offseason amid his contract saga with the Baltimore Ravens, but Big Ben went somewhere else with his take on the player, dumping on his ability as a pocket passer.
The former Steelers QB claimed that teams don’t fear Jackson picking them apart from the pocket and would do well to bring their safeties down against him.
RGIII, a former teammate of Jackson in Baltimore who’s now an analyst for ESPN, joined fans in speaking up for the Ravens star.

Apart from the fact that Jackson has better pocket stats, he’s also got a good many years ahead of him. So it will be interesting to see how the numbers look when he’s done in the league, though no one might remember this two months from now.
Jackson will likely see his passing stats improve next season if he sticks around and gets to pass to Odell Beckham Jr.
