The Dallas Cowboys are stuck between a rock and a hard place as Dak Prescott will miss multiple weeks after suffering a hand injury that will require surgery. ESPN’s Todd Archer later reported Prescott will miss 6-8 weeks.

Cooper Rush came on the field Sunday Night after Prescott made his exit. He completed 7-of-13 passes for 64 yards in garbage time.

The Cowboys will go with Cooper Rush as their starting quarterback beginning next week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Will Grier is the team’s No. 3 quarterback and he’s currently on the practice squad.
Rush won his first career start last year against the Minnesota Vikings when he threw for 325 yards and two touchdown passes in the 20-16 win against the Vikings.
Prescott completed 14 of 29 passes for 134 yards and was intercepted once and sacked twice while the Cowboys were held without a touchdown in a season opener for the first time since 2001.
In 2020, Griffin appeared in four games for the Ravens and completed 8 of 14 pass attempts for 42 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 69 yards.
