NFL offensive lineman Chad Wheeler has been trending all week after he was charged with three different crimes following the vicious beating and choking of his girlfriend.
The woman involved told investigators Wheeler suddenly attacked her after he told her to bow to him and she refused. From there, he threw her on the bed, choked her and tried to cover her mouth and nose to stop her from breathing. The woman said she tried to fight back, but Wheeler allegedly twisted her arm and she lost consciousness.
When she eventually came to, she noticed Wheeler by the bed and he allegedly said: “Wow, you’re alive?” She reportedly ran into the bathroom to call her family and 911.
Everybody has been shocked by this entire story, and that includes Robert Griffin III.
The recently released Baltimore Ravens QB took to Twitter and gave a very important statement to Wheeler and men in general.
The Seattle Seahawks made it clear that Wheeler would not be brought back to the team.

“The Seahawks are saddened by the details emerging against Chad Wheeler and strongly condemn this act of domestic violence. Our thoughts and support are with the victim. Chad is a free agent and no longer with the team,” the team said in a statement.
Wheeler posted on Twitter that he would be stepping away from football and blamed the alleged assault on a “manic episode.”
