Robert Griffin III wants to come home.
The free agent quarterback has stated numerous times that he is not retired from the NFL, despite transitioning to the media to talk about sports.
The Washington Football Team lost its starting quarterback on Sunday when Ryan Fitzpatrick went down with a hip injury, and RG3 sees an opening to return to the place that once loved him.
Griffin threw his name into the mix for Washington by posting an old highlight with the caption, “Make the call.”
Griffin hasn’t played for the team since 2015. He blasted on the scene by winning Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012 and leading the team to the playoffs. Unfortunately, he nor his career was ever the same after suffering a torn ACL in January of 2013.
His last action came with the Baltimore Ravens before deciding to join ESPN as an analyst.
