A simple picture of Melvin Gordon and Russell Wilson caused a Twitter war of words on Friday between Robert Griffin III and LeSean McCoy.
It all started with Robert Griffin III asking his followers to caption a photo of Melvin Gordon staring down Russell Wilson on the sidelines.
LeSean McCoy responded with, “Damn bro take it easy on him lol you experience this moment a lot more than Russ”
RG3 fired back by bringing up stats:
“Dang you still mad at me for out rushing you in a game? Or was it that I had more rushing touchdowns than you had rushing and receiving that year? Or for knocking yal out of playoff contention in 2014? You had a great career. Without injuries I would have had a better one.”

McCoy’s reply:
Griffin, the No. 2 pick in the 2012 draft, last played during the 2020 season with the Baltimore Ravens. He started one game in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers when Lamar Jackson was unavailable.
It marked just the second start by Griffin in his three seasons with the Ravens. After going unsigned as a free agent after the 2020 season, Griffin signed a multiyear contract with ESPN to be a college football and NFL analyst in August 2021.
The 32-year-old has a 16-26 record as a starter with 9,271 yards and 43 touchdown passes in his NFL career.
Back in 2021, LeSean McCoy signed a one-day contract to retire with the Eagles. McCoy was selected to the Pro Bowl six times and twice named to the AP’s All-Pro team. He was also selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s All-Decade team for the 2010s.
For his career, McCoy rushed for 11,102 yards and 73 touchdowns. He also added 518 receptions for 3,898 yards and 16 touchdowns.
