Robert Griffin III had major news to share that is going viral on social media.
The former NFL quarterback took to social media and dropped news that he wrote a book called Surviving Washington and it says it will be exposing the franchise. It’s currently set to release next August.
“What’s up, guys? I’m so excited to announce that I wrote a book and it’s coming out in August 2022, titled Surviving Washington,” Griffin said. “Now every experience I’ve ever had has made me a better husband, a better father and a better player. But I want you to take this journey with me, as I walk you through one of the most dysfunctional franchises in all of sports.”
Griffin continued:
“I’m going to tell you the truth about what happened in that playoff game in 2012 against Seattle. I’m going to detail the medical mismanagement that I received during my time in Washington. I’m going to open your eyes to the sexual harassment that permeated the walls of that building and give you a deep dive into a power struggle between one of the most powerful coaches in all of sports and an owner that many of you want gone.”
Griffin played college football at Baylor, where he won the Heisman Trophy, and was selected second overall by the Washington Redskins in the 2012 NFL Draft.

He had one of the more memorable rookie QB seasons, as he set records for the highest passer rating and touchdown-interception ratio by a first-year quarterback, while leading the Redskins to their first division title since 1999.
Things went bad quickly when he suffered a severe knee injury in the playoffs and never returned to form. Plagued by further injuries and inconsistent play, he lost lost his starting position in 2015 to Kirk Cousins, which led to the Redskins releasing him after the season.
Most recently, he served as a backup to the Baltimore Ravens for three seasons.
