ESPN NFL analyst and former Washington Commanders quarterback Robert Griffin has come to the defense of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who missed Sunday’s Wild Card Round against the Cincinnati Bengals with a knee injury.
Earlier this week, the 2019 league MVP took to Twitter and told the fans that he wouldn’t be playing on Sunday because of a PCL grade 2 sprain. Jackson’s knee injury also kept him out of action for Baltimore’s final five regular season games.
Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick made headlines when he suggested that Jackson put a brace on his knee and play through the injury during Saturday’s FOX NFL broadcast.
Griffin, whose NFL career was unfortunately derailed by a knee injury he suffered in his rookie year, defended Jackson on Twitter.
