The speculation will end soon, as EA Sports announced Monday that they’ll reveal the cover athlete for “Madden NFL 24” this Wednesday.
Philadelphia Eagles’ star quarterback Jalen Hurts, Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen and Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow are among the big names who’ve been widely suggested as options.
But former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III had a different idea regarding the “Madden NFL 24” cover. The 2011 Heisman Trophy winner and 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year thinks that EA Sports should go with Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin:
Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during a tackle on Bengals’ wideout Tee Higgins in the Bills-Cincinnati Week 17 Monday Night Football game. Medical staff acted quickly and thankfully managed to resuscitate Hamlin, who was then taken away in an ambulance to a hospital.
The 25-year-old Hamlin spent nine days in hospital before getting discharged on Jan. 11. Players and coaches across the league offered countless messages of support for Hamlin, wearing clothing items that read “Love For 3 Damar.”

Hamlin has received medical clearance to continue playing football, and he announced his plans to return to the field this year. The Bills will open their season on the road against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets on Sept. 11 on Monday Night Football.
The late John Madden, a Hall of Fame head coach and legendary NFL commentator, was the cover for “Madden NFL 23”. Madden passed away at the age of 85 on Dec. 28, 2021.
