Earlier this week, NFL insider Ian Rapoport suggested the Carolina Panthers were the “most likely” landing spot for Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and one layer on the team hated the idea.
Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson took to Instagram and commented “Nooooo” to the idea of Mayfield being placed on the roster. He also left a comment on a post titled ‘Robby Anderson does not want Baker Mayfield to come to Carolina.’ He added ‘facts.’
He might not want Mayfield, but he certainly wants another QB. Anderson added a fire emoji and a prayer emoji to the idea of Colin Kaepernick being signed by the Panthers.
Colin Kaepernick is once again working this offseason and campaigning to get back in the NFL since he last played during the 2016 season. Since he opted out of his contract with the 49ers, no team has brought him for a workout because of him kneeling during the National Anthem before games and the obvious backlash that would happen if were to sign to a team.
The free agent QB has worked out with Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Locket, Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku and free agent wide receiver Jarvis Landry. He also spent time with Michael Vick and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson.
Kaepernick spent six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, four of which were under Harbaugh.
