Robby Anderson was feeling himself on this meaningless play.
On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers wide receiver had five catches for 58 yards and zero touchdowns. One of his final catches on the day is the one being talked about the most following his team’s blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Anderson caught a pass for a first down late in the fourth quarter as his momentum took him to the Bucs sidelines. Afterwards, he spun the ball and pointed towards the sky to celebrate his achievement.
The biggest problem here is that there was less than 2 minutes to go and the Panthers were down by 26 points. Social media noticed and proceeded to blast Anderson for his ridiculous celebration.

After signing a hefty two-year, $29.5-million extension in the offseason, Anderson has failed to live up to his new contract. The 58-yard performance was Anderson’s second highest total of the season, as he’s yet to come even close to reaching 100 yards in a game in 2021.
To make matters worst for the Panthers, more than $20-million of that contract is guaranteed.
