Saturday’s NFC Divisional Round matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers was pretty sluggish until the very end, which is when Niners kicker Robbie Gould nailed a 45-yard field goal to give his team a 13-10 victory.
In his postseason career, Gould is now an unreal 20-for-20 on field goals. He’s likely that damn good because he’s going to get his practice kicks in no matter what.
In the below video, it shows Gould not giving a damn about the Packers players being introduced as he lines up to get his field goal attempts off.
That is one focused man who came in clutch for his team. He also did this while the Lambeau Field crowd loudly cheered for their hometown team, which can’t be easy to ignore in itself.
Nobody knew at the time, but just a few hours later, he would send that same cheering crowd home very sad.
To top off an epic finish to an epic night, 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was caught on a mic catching up with Gould after the game-winning kick.
