Tom Brady’s former teammate is out of a job.
Former New England Patriots star and two-time Super Bowl champion Rob Ninkovich will not be back on ESPN as his contract will not be renewed.
The 39-year-old is just the latest to part ways with the World Wide Leader In Sports amid massive layoffs. During his time on ESPN, he appeared on studio shows such as “NFL Live,” “Get Up” and “SportsCenter.”
Ninkovich once admitted after winning his second Super Bowl, the Patriots did try to convince him to unretire multiple times, but to no avail.
Ninkovich said: “If you’ve played for a few years, and you have decent money saved for life after football, and you’re deciding whether to play one more year … The price you pay for one more year of salary is you might take another 850 shots to the head. Is it worth it? It wasn’t for me.”
He retired back in 2017.

As for his analyst career, he may take his talents to Fox or another platform.
