Of course, Rob Gronkowski heard the rumors surrounding Zach Wilson.
During an appearance on “Fox NFL Kickoff” Sunday, the former Buccaneers tight end participated in a “Glass Half-Full or Half-Empty” segment where he took a brutal shot at the Jets quarterback, who was accused by an ex-girlfriend of being involved with a friend of his mother.
“I’m going to go half-full, as long as they can get their QB’s head in the playbook instead of outside at parent-teacher conferences,” Gronkowski said.
His Fox Sports colleagues were lost for words as they clearly knew what was he alluding to as well.
The 33-year-old Gronk returned to Fox in October, roughly four months after he announced his second retirement from the NFL.
As for Wilson, he came into this season as a likely MVP candidate, not because people thought he would make a leap with his play, but because of the rumor surrounding him.
