Future NFL Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski has named the team he would love to play for if he ever returns to the league.
Gronk has already retired and returned to win a Super Bowl, having helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win a ring in 2021. He’s now going through a second retirement and claims to have rejected two offers to return this season.
The former NFL, who could also be considered a former WWE star, will be in attendance at the Super Bowl this year. But he isn’t going as a player, he’s going to host a party.
While Gronk has spurned advances from NFL franchises recently, there’s one team that’s likely to get him to change his mind should they come knocking.
The ex-tight end was speaking to FanDuel TV’s Kayla Adams on her Up and Adams show when he revealed his dream return scenario, saying he’d pick the Buffalo Bills.
“In a dream world, I’ll go with my hometown team, the Buffalo Bills, once again,” he said. “If you just watch Josh Allen go out there and play, he plays the game freely. It also looks like he’s having the most fun out there out of any QB in the whole NFL. And on top of it, he knows how to extend a play.

“I love watching a quarterback that looks like they’re about to get sacked by three defensive linemen then somehow escapes the pocket and runs around, jukes a linebacker behind the field and then just whips the ball down the field 50 yards for a touchdown. Just his play is unbelievable and electrifying.”
Gronkowski spent the first eight years of his career with the New England Patriots so their fans are likely going to be upset at this. Still, he could be forgiven for wanting to play with a quarterback like Allen.
