The social media world is reacting to Rob Gronkowski’s comments on whether transgender athletes should be able to compete in women’s sports.
The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE was on Capitol Hill this week when he got asked if men should be allowed to compete against women.
Not on for controversy, the four-time Super Bowl champion initially looked a little taken aback by the question before shaking his head no while laughing.

All of this has been a major topic for years, but it really got thrust into the limelight when Lia Thomas, a biological man, competed for Penn’s women’s swim team and absolutely destroyed the competition.

Rob Gronkowski’s last year in the NFL came in 2021. He finished the 2021 season with 55 receptions for 802 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.
Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion and member of the NFL’s 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, is viewed as one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the NFL because of his effectiveness as both a blocker and pass catcher.
In 11 regular seasons, he totaled 621 receptions for 9,286 yards and 92 touchdowns. He saved some of his best work for the playoffs, playing in 22 games and amassing 93 catches for 1,389 yards and 15 touchdowns.
