It has become quite evident that the New England Patriots are in need of a change at the quarterback position.
It makes the case that the team will need to pull off a trade to make that happen.
During an appearance on “Up & Adams,” former tight end Rob Gronkowski suggested that New England should trade for Malik Willis from the Titans.
“If you want to put some pressure on Mac [Jones], if you want to switch things up a little bit, they should trade for a quarterback,” Gronkowski said. “I’m not talking about a veteran quarterback, I’m talking about a quarterback who can possibly be their future, like Malik Willis.”
Gronkowski further added Bill Belichick likes quarterbacks who can add another element to the run game.
“Bring him in. Coach Belichick loves speed. He loves a quarterback who can also run the ball. He never really had that before, but I always remember when he was facing an opponent like that he would hype them up.”

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel saw some good and bad from quarterback Malik Willis last year, but most of it was filled with more bad than good.
With the struggles of starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill being the top talking point around the Tennessee Titans, Willis may not be available for trade as he might soon find himself starting for the team.
The Titans drafted Willis in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Liberty. He started three games in place of Ryan Tannehill as a rookie, completing just 31 of 61 passes for 276 yards (4.5 per attempt), zero touchdowns, and three interceptions while also rushing 27 times for 123 yards and a touchdown.
For now, in New England, the Patriots visit the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday as the QB is in the midst of a two-game slump in which he was pulled from both games in the second half. The answer to the position is not on the roster. The Patriots’ top backup is Bailey Zappe. Five-year veteran Will Grier is the No. 3 option and was signed off the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad on Sept. 23.
New England has been outscored 72-3 in losses to the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. They rank last in points per game and have gone 34 straight drives without an offensive touchdown and 24 consecutive drives without a point scored.
If the team loses on Sunday, we might see a change sooner rather than later.
