Rob Gronkowski has some serious cash on the line during the final regular season game today.
The veteran tight end can earn up to $1 million in incentives during the NFC South battle vs. the Panthers, but he’ll need to be extremely active to ensure that it happens.
He has two season-wide incentives to hit: 55 catches in a season and 650 receiving yards. He currently has 48 catches and 565 yards on the season. Basically, Gronk needs to end today’s game with seven catches and 85 receiving yards to earn the entire $1 million.
“Bucs’ TE Rob Gronkowski needs seven catches and 85 receiving yards Sunday vs. Carolina to earn a $1 million incentive,” reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Gronkowski has a $500K incentive for 55 catches in a season and currently has 48; he’s got another $500K incentive for 650 receiving yards and currently has 565.”
Vets usually rest the game before the playoffs, but the Bucs can still improve their position a little in the 2021-2022 NFL playoffs.
The Buccaneers are the current No. 3 seed behind the Packers and the No. 2 Rams.

To get the No. 2 seed, the Bucs need to beat or tie the Panthers at home on Sunday while the Rams lose to the 49ers at the same time. The Bucs have to have a better record than the Rams since they lost to them in Los Angeles in Week 3.
Gronk just might get his chance if the game remains close for all 4 quarters.
