The Dallas Cowboys usually wait until later in the year to show everybody they are not serious contenders, but Christmas came early this year for some after the San Francisco 49ers destroyed them.
Rob Gronkowski knows all about being on teams that can win it all.
During an appearance on “Up & Adams” this Tuesday, the former Patriots and Tampa Bay Bucs star tight end called out the team for tricking everybody.
“The Dallas Cowboys aren’t for real. They kinda tricked us this year,” Gronkowski said. “I’ll tell you why they tricked us. They have three blowout wins already, but you got to look back at it now. Their defense dominated three teams that have absolutely no offense right now, the New York Giants, New York Jets, and New England Patriots. Guess what? That’s why they tricked us. Those teams don’t even have offenses. When they play good teams, they get absolutely blown out.”
From Brock Purdy’s four touchdown passes to the San Francisco 49ers forcing four turnovers, the 49ers welcomed the Dallas Cowboys into town Sunday night and tore them to pieces.
Purdy found George Kittle for three touchdowns on the night when he came into the game not having a single one all year. San Francisco won the game, 42-10.

Purdy was taken out before the game was over. He was 17-of-24 with 252 passing yards and was only sacked once.
The 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles, who met in the NFC Championship Game last season, are the only two unbeaten teams in the NFL.
Dallas dropped to 3-2 and will stay on the road for a date against the Los Angeles Chargers. The team has truly only won games against inferior teams, so until they string together wins against actual contenders, nobody will take them seriously for the remainder of the year.
