When Rihanna hit the field during the Super Bowl, it felt like a movie as a record number of people tuned in to watch it happen in real time as she revealed her pregnancy.
However, she turned quite a few away as many fans became outraged with her performance at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Federal Communications Commission received 103 complaints about the Super Bowl LVII broadcast, according to TMZ Sports.
Many of the complaints said that Rihanna’s lyrics and performance “were way too sexualized,” per TMZ Sports.
“I don’t care what someone worships but children shouldn’t be exposed to pornography and as an adult, I don’t wish to see it,” one viewer wrote. “… Where has decency gone? How about respect for others and self?”
Another said, quote, “This year the halftime show was so indecent I had to turn off the TV because of the pornographic content.”
Rihanna didn’t do a lot of dancing herself, since she was pregnant. At least one person didn’t like what they saw from her, saying quote, “She spread her [butt] cheek at the crack. She rubbed the front of her pants three times.”
