Everyone is still waiting to hear exactly what went down this morning in Seattle that resulted in Richard Sherman’s arrest for burglary domestic violence in Seattle. And while we still don’t know if his Sherman’s wife, Ashley Moss, was involved in the incident, she has issued a statement on the matter.
The Seattle Times was able to reach Ashley, and while she didn’t want to discuss specifics, she did assure them that she and her children were safe and unharmed:
Reached by cell phone, Sherman’s wife, Ashley Moss, was emotionally shaken and declined to discuss specifics of the incident that led to Sherman’s arrest.
“At this time we’re going to make no statements, except he didn’t harm anybody,” Moss said. “My kids were not harmed in the incident. He’s a good person and this is not his character. We’re doing all right, just trying to get him out. I want people to know no one was injured.”
Whether or not Sherman’s wife and kids were involved in the incident remains unknown. The matter is still being investigated.
The free agent cornerback was arrested just after 6am in Seattle after he allegedly tried to barge into a family member’s home and fought with police when they arrived. He’s currently being detained without bail.
