Well, it was only a matter of time until Richard Sherman and Skip Bayless butted heads again on national television.
You’ll likely recall the heated argument between Sherman and Bayless during ESPN’s “First Take” program back in 2013. Sherman told Bayless, “I’m better at life than you,” and that the veteran sports journalist hasn’t “accomplished anything.”
Bygones appeared to be bygones when Sherman agreed to join Bayless’ “Undisputed” program on FS1 this past summer, following the departure of Shannon Sharpe.
The two were getting along just fine for the most part during their tenure together, but things finally got tense between the two again on Tuesday’s edition of the show. The argument stemmed from a discussion on the NFL potentially banning the hip-drop tackle following an injury to FSU quarterback Jordan Travis on Saturday.
Bayless got agitated when Sherman interrupted him, leading to the heated argument while Keyshawn Johnson watched from the side.
“You’re not speaking from experience…stop raising your voice, Skip,” to which Bayless asks, “Are you going to let me speak or not?”
After Bayless tells the former All-Pro corner and Super Bowl champion that he’s “covered” football longer than Sherman’s been alive, the latter responded by stating, “You cover the game, I’ve actually played the game!”

Again, another tense argument between the two was long overdue. Bayless has never been short of controversial opinions and hot takes, and Sherman is well-known for saying what’s exactly on his mind (just ask Michael Crabtree).
Sherman played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2011 to 2017, for the San Francisco 49ers from 2018 to 2020 and for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers briefly in 2021.
