Former Seattle Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman proposed an intriguing trade scenario that would see the NFC West team land a former MVP winner.
During a recent appearance of “The Volume”, Sherman suggested a trade proposal for the Seahawks to land Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson. The 26-year-old is slated to enter free agency in March.
Jackson didn’t play in the Ravens’ Wild Card Round playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals as he continued to recover from a knee injury. The Ravens started second-stringer Tyler Huntley, but they fell 24-17 on Sunday.
Jackson’s status as a free agent has been one of the NFL’s most widely discussed stories in recent weeks, even during the postseason. The two sides couldn’t reach an agreement on an extension prior to the 2022 season, leading to speculation that he could sign with a new team or get traded.
Baltimore’s 2018 first-round pick went 8-5 as the team’s starter this year, completing 62.3 percent of his pass attempts for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 764 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
