Few NFL players do as much talking as Richard Sherman, but in the case of the 49ers’ star cornerback, at least you can say he’s earned that right.
Sherman has been playing at an elite level ever since he broke into the league back in 2011, as a member of the Seahawks’ Legion of Boom. Since then, he’s won a Super Bowl and been named to five Pro Bowls – including this season, at the age of 31.
Following the 49ers’ Divisional Round win over the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, a reporter asked Sherman (who recorded an interception in the contest) if he had anything to say to all the haters that continue to doubt him.
Obviously, he did:
At this point in his career, it’s hard to argue with anything Sherman had to say during his rant. Year in and year out, he’s one of the top corners in the game. And he has his Niners sitting just two wins away from winning their first Super Bowl since 1994.
