San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman made headlines when he blasted Baker Mayfield for snubbing him during the pregame handshake. However, videos began to surface that showed Sherman did indeed receive a handshake or at least a dap prior to the coin toss.
Former NFL punter Pat McAfee posted the proof of the handshake on social media and Sherman responded:
“So you don’t see any difference in the way I shake everyone else’s hand and the guy who stands back with the petty shake. Was Bs and I took offense to it then turns and runs off. It’s not that big of a deal.”
Soon, the 49ers cornerback would take to Twitter and fire back at everybody who had something to say about the new evidence that proved him to be a liar.
“Ppl freaking out over a handshake gave me a good laugh. I will lose no sleep over it and have moved on to the next opponent.”

Sick backpedal, bro.
Despite all of this hoopla, Mayfield continued his struggles on Monday Night Football, completing just 8-of-22 passes for a mere 100 yards and two interceptions against San Francisco.
He now ranks at the bottom of the league in a number of notable passing categories such as interceptions (8), completion percentage (55.9), and passer rating (68.5).
