Russell Wilson made major headlines earlier this year when he was traded to the Denver Broncos and everyone thought that it was time for the Denver fans to rise and shine. That led to a video of him behind the scenes saying, ‘Broncos Country, Let’s Ride!’ for a promo.
It’s become his calling card all year, until the team actually started playing and people realized how washed up the QB had become since his heyday in Seattle. Russell Wilson’s “Let’s Ride” slogan has now turned into a meme, all thanks again to Wilson’s inability to lead his unit effectively this year.
Memes regarding Wilson haven’t stopped flooding in this season and it continued with his former teammate in Richard Sherman, but he had nothing to do with it. Sherman, who has been ripping his former QB all year, was gifted a stuffed doll of himself by the crew on the show. While the doll looked pretty good, as soon as Sherman squeezed it, it said, “Broncos Country, Let’s Ride.”
Once that phrase came out, Sherman got out of his seat as he was overwhelmed with laughter.
As for as the Broncos go, Monday was no laughing matter as the team fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett amid a disastrous first season with the team. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, senior assistant coach Jerry Rosburg has been named interim coach.

Hackett joined the Broncos after spending the past three seasons as offensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers. The upgrade led to the team being a disaster on offense this season while ranking dead last in the NFL with 15.5 points scored per game.
Denver fell to 4-11 on the season following Sunday’s calamitous 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
