Robert Griffin III needs to take a break from Twitter.
The veteran NFL quarterback and former top NFL Draft pick is still a free agent, but that is not what people are talking about this week.
Griffin posted a message about his wife, Grete Šadeiko, a former Florida State track star from Estonia.
“cOmE oN bRO yOUr WiFe iS wHiTE” he tweeted.
So many people were confused by the video and tweet.
He attempted to clarify in follow-up tweets.

“I’m telling you loving someone outside your race doesn’t mean you hate your own. I’m telling you being white don’t mean you ain’t got no cheeks. I love my people, I love my wife and I’m proud of her business,” he tweeted with a reference to his wife’s training company.
He added: “What does not being “stacked in the back” have to do with being black? The only implication I made was about her not bring “stacked in the back” because she is white.”
“I’m celebrating my wife for having features that are considered not white. Seeing that in the tweet below from 5 days ago the running joke was that my wife was white and couldn’t fill out a sun dress. You and others made it a comparison to black women.”
“So you believe white women are expected to not have those features because they aren’t black? Seems that sir is the problem with your thinking. Having those features as a white woman doesn’t make you black. It makes you white with a nice butt.”
“Check the receipts. I never said or implied that my wife’s features are associated with black women. You and others have. White women are stereotypically considered to not have a big buttocks/cheeks/cakes. My wife defies that stereotype. So I’m celebrating that. Nothing more.”
As far as his career goes, The New York Post reported multiple networks are reportedly in a bidding war for RG3’s services as an analyst.
“ESPN has upped its offer after Fox showed heavy interest in Griffin as an NFL and college football analyst. Now both networks are waiting to see whether Griffin will try to play again or retires from the NFL to move into TV. Even if Griffin does decide to play, TV will be waiting for him when he ultimately retires. (Outkick first reported ESPN’s and Fox’s interest in Griffin.)”
