Robert Griffin III has sparked some confusion among fans after ranking the top five quarterbacks in the AFC.
The conference boasts some of the best QBs in the NFL and the expected arrival of Aaron Rodgers to the Jets will prompt another huge addition. Rodgers has already voiced his intention to play for the Jets but there’s still some negotiating left to do as the Packers want a first-round pick in the trade.
The general belief is that the teams will come to terms over a deal at some point. And, with that in mind, RG3 made his top five AFC ranking during ESPN’s Get Up this Wednesday.
Patrick Mahomes was first on his list; anything else would have been blasphemous given what Mahomes has achieved over the last few years. Josh Allen came in at No. 2 – no argument there really.
But things got tricky at No. 3, with the former quarterback naming Lamar Jackson over Joe Burrow and Aaron Rodgers.
As expected, fans were not in agreement.

It’s worth noting that Griffin and Jackson were teammates in Baltimore so perhaps it’s why he’s gotten the nod from the ESPN analyst. But it’s still a strange pick given that both Burrow and Rodgers have been better than Jackson, both in performance and availability, over the past two campaigns.
