The Dallas Cowboys were in complete control against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday and they took their foot off the gas pedal and paid for it dearly.
The Jaguars hosted the Cowboys on Sunday at TIAA Bank Field and erased a 17-point deficit to win in OT, 40-34. The loss to the Jaguars does make the chances of winning the NFC East that much harder since the 13-1 Philadelphia Eagles will now have to lose their last three regular-season games.
The Dallas Cowboys may have lost the game but they still qualified for the playoffs after the Washington Commanders fell 20-12 at home to the New York Giants. That means nothing to Rex Ryan.
Rex Ryan hit the nail on the head on “Get Up” Monday when he called them soft.
The former New York Jets head coach called the defense “overrated” and said the Cowboys “ain’t the team you think they are.”
“They’re soft,” Ryan said of the defense. “They don’t finish.”

Prescott completed 23 of 30 passes for 256 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions. The Dallas Cowboys QB has been a turnover machine as he has tossed 11 interceptions in nine games played in 2022.
“I take every loss on the chin,” Prescott said. “I think that’s my job as a quarterback, to put us in positions to win, and eliminate the mistakes and the potential chances to allow them to score after turnovers. That’s what’s frustrating about it, whether it’s a tipped ball, whether it’s an unfortunate interception, whatever it is.
“They all suck.”
After playing the Eagles on Christmas Eve, the Cowboys play at the Tennessee Titans on Dec. 29th.
