ESPN NFL Analyst Rex Ryan had nothing nice to say about Brandon Staley after the Chargers did everything possible to win a game in th first half, only to do everything possible to lose it in the second half when they played the Jags.
A 27-0 lead went up in smoke Saturday as the Los Angeles Chargers saw its four-score edge evaporate en route to a 31-30 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday in the AFC Wild Card round.
The Chargers racked up four interceptions of Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the first 22 minutes of the game, including three from cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. alone. Yet, the team decided to take their foot off the gas pedal in the second half and completely screw up their chances of advancing to the next round.
Because of that, Rex Ryan has a bone to pick with head coach Brandon Staley.
The former NFL head coach called Staley ‘disrespectful to the game.’
Ahead of the Chargers’ first playoff appearance in four years, questions swirled about the job security of second-year coach Brandon Staley. After a blown lead and a questionable decision in Week 18 that got Mike Williams hurt, it seems Staley is in the hot seat.

Only time will tell if the Chargers’ front office will stay with Staley as the head coach or move on to take a chance at possibly landing a coach like Sean Payton. It will be pricey, but the Chargers have the type of talent that Payton could make go over and produce.
