The 2023 NFL trade window is quite fresh but it’s already giving us a bit of everything, from shocking free agent signings and unexpected trades to players and their families getting involved in spats with reporters.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is one such victim, with the NFL insider taking to Twitter to reveal a text he got from Aaron Rodgers this week. Rodgers has revealed it’s his intention to play for the New York Jets next season and has called out some of the folks who have been breaking stories as part of their coverage where the current period is concerned.
The Athletic’s Tim Graham has also gotten into it with the father of a player on the back of a trade that will likely see his son’s targets limited.
Darren Waller has been traded to the New York Giants following a five-year stint with the Las Vegas Raiders and it appears Daniel Bellinger’s dad is none too pleased.
Graham has shared direct messages from the tight end’s papa, who took offense to the journalist writing that Waller is better than his son. The exchange ended with Graham telling daddy Bellinger to take it up with Giants GM Joe Schoen, who apparently also thinks Waller is the better of the two TEs.

The Giants drafted Bellinger in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and, in his first season with the team, he made 30 catches for 208 yards and two touchdowns.
Of course, Bellinger has a bright future ahead of him at just 22 years old. But Waller is who most coaches would opt to go with for the present if they were presented with the choice.
