An NFL reporter has revealed that there’s a particular position all teams are looking to trade up for in this year’s NFL Draft.
The first round of the highly anticipated event is now just over a day away, and we can expect a frenzy among teams, with several of them expected to pull off trades to fill various spots on their rosters.
According to NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah, the offensive tackle position has been one of the more prioritized going into the draft, with “everyone” moving up to get one.
“To summarize my last 5 phone calls- everyone is moving up for an OT,” Jeremiah shared to Twitter/X on Wednesday.
The most offensive linemen selected in the first round of the NFL Draft stands at 10, and you’d have to go all the way back to 1968 for that. The over/under for 2024 is set at 9.5, and it will be interesting to see whether the number is surpassed on Thursday.

The Offensive Tackles Expected To Be Picked In The First Round Of The NFL Draft
Joe Alt, who starred at Notre Dame and is the son of former Kansas City Chiefs player John Alt, is expected to be the first OT picked this year.
Oregon State’s Taliese Fuaga, Washington’s Troy Fautanu, Penn State’s Olu Fashanu, Alabama’s JC Latham, Georgia’s Amarius Mims, and Duke’s Graham Barton have all been tipped as first-round picks.
Arizona’s Jordan Morgan, Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton, Houston’s Patrick Paul, and Oregon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson are long shots for the first round as well.
The aforementioned players aren’t all offensive tackles, though most of them are, which could explain what Jeremiah has been hearing.
The NFL Draft is scheduled to begin at 8 PM ET on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network this Thursday. The second and third rounds will take place on Friday evening, with the remaining four rounds set for Saturday afternoon.
