Geno Smith watsed litle time after his team’s season came to an end to get himself into trouble.
The Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Monday following the team’s season-ending victory in Arizona.
Smith was reportedly arrested and then released, per the Seattle Times:
“Geno Smith, the Seahawks’ backup quarterback the past three years, was arrested Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence and then released, according to King County District Court records.
Smith was arrested at 2:10 a.m. and released at 9:27 a.m., documents show.
No other details were immediately available.”
The 31-year-old has just completed his third season with the Seahawks and had the most extensive playing time of his tenure in Seattle. He appeared in four games and started three while Russell Wilson was out due to finger surgery.
Smith threw for 702 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. Seattle went 1-2 in Smith’s three starts.

He was on a one-year contract with Seattle and will be a free agent after the end of the current NFL season.
