Just in case you were not aware, we are in the midst of going through yet another startup football league that is not the XFL.
The United States Football League or USFL will take its next crucial step in its highly anticipated comeback when they kick off in April.
A few days, payment for the players in this league leaked out.
According to USFL News players will make an average of 45k for the season not including the teams $600 a week pre-season. Practice squad players will earn about 15K on average for the season. The USFL also promises victory bonuses rumored to be $850 a player.
These reported salaries are around the same as the XFL paid their players back in 2020. As you saw, the league having to be shut down due to the pandemic led to many players being picked up on NFL teams, so it worked out handsomely for them.
Later this month, the USFL will hold its inaugural “player selection meeting” or “draft.”
