The WWE is trying to come through in a big way for out of work football players.
On Tuesday, the Alliance of American Football League dropped the bombshell news that the league suspended all operations just eight weeks into its inaugural season.
Paul Fair, WWE’s director of talent development, would soon take to Twitter and announce that he’ll be opening up two spots for the company’s April tryout if any of the players were looking to change their profession.
“I will review all profiles over the next 48 hrs and choose 2 players to invite,” Fair tweeted. “All other applicants will continue to be considered for future tryouts.”
Aside from the wrestling opportunity, Vince McMahon will be rolling out the XFL in February 2020 to give professional football another chance after his first try didn’t work out after one season.
